The roll out of Android 10 (Q) is now live, and should be popping up on Pixel devices near you soon(tm). I just got the update on my Pixel 2 XL.
The update was a rather large one for the Pixel 2 XL, weighing in at over 1.2 GB. I have seen reports of it be much smaller on Pixel 3(a) devices, as well as those that were running current Beta builds of Q.
The highlights of Android 10 (Q) are listed on the update as:
- Dark Theme
- Navigate your phone with gestures
- Additional controls for privacy & location
- Quick actions & replies in notifications
So nothing Earth shattering, but some nice polish on the OS, and always welcome improvements with regard to privacy. I also immediately noticed the new polished icons not mentioned in the update notes.
The build number is also not available in the bottom left of the pull down menu.
Their is also an emergency button available in the menu when you hold the power button just below screenshot, that I am not brave enough to push at this time.
All in all I think this seems to be a solid update. Let me know what your favorite new feature is, and of course what I have missed.
